Immediately above is a current Playmobil representation of the photographer (bought in Dec. 2008 in Holland). Playmobil used to offer a photographer – usually a man – using a large-format camera (similar to what I use). It was discontinued more than ten years ago. They were prescient.

Note the recycling of the camera, flash and tripod used by the jungle photographer of 1985 for use by the more recent wedding photographer. The photographer’s beard, however, is gone. The Santa photographer, an avocation rather low in the photography job hierarchy, sees the first female Playmobil photographer appear.
